3rd & 4th Grade

Have you ever thought about how different our life and the lives of others would be if we relied completely on God instead of ourselves? This is a big question we are confronting in Bible this week in 3rd and 4th grade. We are studying the stories of Saul and David. We are learning about their humble beginnings and how they both started out completely trusting in God. We will then discuss how quickly things deteriorated for Saul after he started to buy into relying on himself, and the difference in David’s life that was made my trusting in God and constantly seeking Him. We will be doing fun activities to help us remember the lessons we learn from Saul and David. Last week we made crowns as we learned about the Israelites’ demand for a king. This week, we will discover secret mes-sages that help us remember what God sees when He looks at us, make a mural to show how God protects His followers (Check out Psalms 46!) and make tambourines to praise God like David.
