1st & 2nd Grades

The 1st & 2nd grade class is happy to be back in school! We have started our Friends and Family unit and are focusing on a book titled Galimoto. Do you know what a galimoto is? Here is a hint: Each student in our class is going to MAKE one! Each day we are talking about what it means to be a Christian. Does Jesus live in us? Do our actions and words show we have Jesus in our heart? Throughout the day one will often hear a student say to another “are we acting like Christians?”, or “I think Jesus would share so we should too.” and similar statements. It is wonderful to witness the children really thinking and choosing to be like Jesus. If one of your New Year commitments is to be more in-volved in Christian Education, please contact Mrs. Bianco. She is looking for volunteers to come in and help with arts & crafts and to listen to children read.
