What I like about my students:
I like their sense of humor, their willingness to forgive, their simple, child-like faith. I enjoy the discussions we have. I like that they continue to teach me things about life, and about myself. Life ends when we stop learning. They keep me alive! I enjoy it when the old ones come back for a talk, a hug, or an I miss you.
How I feel about teaching at HVCA:
I really like it here. I hope that I will be here to see the dreams Mr. Davis and I have for HVCA fulfilled.
How I would describe my personality:
I am somewhat gregarious, but was once very shy. So, I understand people who are shy. I sometimes want to slip back into that shy mode.
How I feel about my relationship with God:
Since my father was never a consistent part of my life and has been gone for 26 years now, God is the father-I-never-had. He is always there for me; always has been, always will be. He is my Rock!
My advice to students:
Give everything you do your best shot! You only get to do life once. Each day is a new beginning, but there will never be a chance to live today again. Make it count! Make it count for today, for life here on this earth , and for eternity.
My advice to parent(s)/guardian(s):
Expect your children to do their personal best. Not every child is an A student. Teach them to compete against themselves. If they got a B on a test, encourage them to reach higher . . . show them how you studied. Tell them your stories of successes and failures. Let them know that you love them unconditionally. If they are successful in their own eyes, in yours, and in God's, they will go farther than if they have all A's and still feel they are falling short of what is expected of them.
