The purpose for Operation Christmas Child was to collect boxes and fill them with things that poor children throughout the world need. The reason to give them boxes was to give them a good Christmas by sending them boxes full of blessings. We wanted to collect approximately 100 boxes, and we accomplished our goal.
We prayed for the little girl or boy that would open the box that we had packed for them. It was a blessing to know that you're helping someone in need. This enriched us at HVCA because we are grateful for what we have and appreciate more of what we have. Even if we can't get everything we want, at least we have food, family, a home.
