HVCA Students Commit Their Lives to Jesus at Spiritual Retreat

The Spiritual Retreat was a great experience for all who attended. It really helped everyone commit to God and become closer to Him. Activities we enjoyed:

Thursday Evening Discussion with Mr. Bianco and Mrs. Prouty

  • "This night touched me the most of all nights and more than all of the Spiritual Retreats. I will never forget it."
  • "It was a very emotional night. I was touched by my fellow class mates in what they were saying and how the teachers touched my heart. that night was the first night I ever cried at the retreat."

Friday Team Building

  • "They were fun despite the cold. It gave us all the opportunity to bond with each other. Some of those bonds will never end."
  • "It was really fun! We were all together to do some work, help each other, and understand each other, to talk to each other, to encourage each other, and to get to know each other better."

Mr. Bianco's Talk for Friday Evening Worship

  • "This really touched me alot and made me realize the pain that I make Jesus feel sometimes and I don't even realize it."
  • "It was emotional knowing what Mr. Bianco had to go through. He showed us that God could get us through anything and he also showed us why God's death was so important."

Foot Washing

  • "Very comforting being able to know how much our teachers love us and that means alot."
  • "I remembered and realized how much the staff cares for us."
  • "It was more meaningful when I did it with my friends because we were all taking one step closer to God."

Communion

  • "Good bread and lots of juice. Way different than what I'm used to."
  • "I felt like if I were the one tearing Jesus' flesh and hammering Him to the cross. He didn't deserve to die and we don't deserve to live."
